Here are some links we have found that we think you might find useful. However, we have not checked every bit of these websites and so you will have to decide for yourselves how

reliable

and

useful

you think they are. When you are browsing, think about: -

who the website is from
what are they trying to say and why
if you can rely on them

If you find a great climate change website for children that is not here, let us know!

Global warming from Wikiforkids.com

Atmosphere, Climate & Environment Information Progamme
You still need to be good at reading for this website which works a bit like an encylopedia. Click on the Bart Simpson icon for the simplest explanation of words like climate change!

This site is quite easy to read. It explains the difference between the Earth's climate and other planets and how greenhouse gases are warming the earth.

Climate Change for Kids
From the US Environmental Protection Agency
Easy to read and very interesting information about climate change and the greenhouse effect. This is probably one of the best places to start your research. Also has some fun games and quizzes!

Streetmap
Tap in your school or home postcode or town to find a useful streetmap of the area. Useful for working out your route to school.

Google Earth
Fantastic way to view your area from the air. The quality varies depending on where you live, but from a distance is fine anywhere and gives a good view of your locality.

Overview of Climate Change
Climate Ark

Good explanations of climate change and some useful charts and diagrams which make it a bit easier to understand, but you will still need your teacher to explain a lot of it! Have a look at a good chart explaining the green house effect, and the CO2 emissions map.
